A visiting committee composed of representatives from the Accrediting Commission for Schools- Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS-WASC) and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) recently visited our school during the week of March 29 - April 2. This visit was the culminating event of a two year self study process at Qibao Dwight. We applied for curricular authorization from the IBO in 2014 and initial accreditation from ACS-WASC in 2018, achieving both IB Diploma Programme authorization and initial accreditation from ACS-WASC. The self study process and full synchronized visit were a continuation of reflecting on our community's prioritized and continued growth.

During the visit, committee members from both of the visiting organizations interviewed all stakeholders in our community, including parents, students, support staff, administration, and principals. These interviews further validated Qibao Dwight's commitment to school improvement, and to ensure that we have met the rigorous standards of the accrediting organization. As a result of the visit, the school has a clear action plan as to how to best serve our community with measurable steps toward progress.

The visit was a rewarding learning experience for us all as we made sure to involve all members of our school community to look at how our school program helps our students achieve their highest potential by igniting their spark of genius. We look forward to continued growth and we want to express our gratitude to every member of our school community for this opportunity which wouldn't have been possible without their dedication and involvement in this process.
